Achievements
Members of the Department of Ecology were accredited in 10 scientific and technical fields.
Students are given the opportunity to express themselves individually, participating in work on scientific projects and delivering reports at scientific and practical conferences.
Students of the specialty 5B060800-“Ecology” are prizewinners of the Republican subject Olympiad among universities that took the I, II and III places in 2015 and 2016, were awarded with diplomas of 1, 2 and 3 degrees of the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth and Science: Reality and the Future “in 2014.
In 2017, senior student Zh.N. Gubaydolina became the winner of the “Best Student” medal.
3rd year students – Zhumagulov Aidan, Kalmagambetov Laul and Kibatov Arman took 2nd place in the Х th Republican student subject Olympiad at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty), 2018.
Zhumagulova Aidana took the II place in the individual competition in the X Republican student subject Olympiad at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi (Almaty), 2018.
To date, the teaching staff of the Department of Ecology has achieved significant success in the development of research activities. The teachers of the department received letters of thanks and awards from the regional akim, as well as the heads of regional and city educational institutions for many years of work in the field of education and contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists.

At the Republican conference “Youth of the Great Steppe: Unity of the Future People” in Nur-Sultan, Kapina Madina Assetullaevna, a 2nd year student of the specialty 5B060800-Ecology, was awarded the medal “Best Student 2019” and received a II degree diploma.
2nd year student Sanaeva A.A. won the main prize in the regional competition of social start-ups among young people “We are together” in the framework of the Roadmap of the republican youth movement “Zhangyru Zholy” at the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Aktobe region.
2nd year students Zhalkasbai Қ. and M. Kapina were awarded a Letter of gratitude from the international antinuclear movement “Nevada-Semey”
4th year students Amangaliev E. and Khabidullaeva M.
awarded the “Best Student” medal in honor of the 85th anniversary of the university.
Scientific and pedagogical cooperation is diversified at the department: the department takes an active part in scientific projects and programs, joint publications (articles), conferences and refresher courses

In the framework of the ,’Sustainability Living Lab Outreach’ program the , «Paper coup’ project» of the environmental volunteer club of the faculty of Natural Sciences was carried out and implemented in cooperation with LLC Nazarbayev University and Chevron. The project solves the problems of waste segregation and draws attention of the employees and students to issues of sustainable use of natural resources and paper recycling.
